I’m not sure that Sanders slide is as surprising as Twitter (X) would make it seem. While he did put up an impressive completion percentage, he also struggled behind a bad OL and took almost 90 sacks in 2 seasons. Add in that he is not an exceptional athlete and has an average NFL QB frame and there could be some volatility.
This got me thinking … who else in recent memory was a real surprise to slide? Off the top of my head:
