6:30 p.m. in Pearl. Ole Miss is the visiting team. Whichever team is the home team in the weekend series is also the home team in Pearl. If Ole Miss is away in the Governor's Cup, the Rebels are also away against USM in Pearl. That's the pattern if you're curious.

Jeremy Massie will start for Ole Miss. MSU is TBA. Massie has a 2.34 ERA with 25 strikeouts and eight walks in 34.2 innings.

The Mayor's Trophy/Governor's Cup series is tied at 17.

Ole Miss was 29-12 (10-8) at this point last season if you were curious. 30-11 (10-8) this season.

The Rebels lead the league in SEC ERA at 2.19. Carolina is second at 2.69. Christian Trent leads the league in SEC ERA at 1.10.

Sikes Orvis has a 15-game hit streak going and has hit safely in 16 straight SEC games.

Ole Miss' RPI is at No. 8 this morning. I think this game is decently important. The Rebels have a chance to make the season series with MSU 3-1 instead of 2-2, and it's a top 50 RPI game. MSU is No. 40 this morning. Ole Miss is 5-8 against the top 50 and 12-10 against the top 100. The top 50 could stand to be better. Missouri is at No. 120, so that isn't helping, but the Tigers have nine games left against top 15 teams if they can just win a little bit.
