MOBILE, Ala. – No. 13 Ole Miss Baseball saw their 13-game winning streak come to an end Tuesday night as they fell to South Alabama 14-5. The Rebels committed four errors and had just six hits in the loss.

Isaac Humphrey was the lone Rebel with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs scored. Ryan Moerman hit his seventh home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth inning.

The Jaguars scored runs in all but two innings, putting up a four-spot in the opening frame.

Ole Miss had dug themselves a 6-0 hole until finally getting on the board with two runs in the fifth to make it 6-2.

Moerman hit his home run with one out in the sixth inning and a dropped fly ball by the Jaguar right fielder allowed the Rebels to tack on two more, cutting the lead down to four.

That would be the last runs scored by the Rebels while the Jaguars put up one in the seventh and four in the eighth to push their lead to nine.

Ethan Surowiec collected his first career hit as a pinch hitter in the ninth inning, but a double play would end the game and the winning streak for the Rebels.

Ole Miss will host No. 3 Arkansas this weekend at Swayze Field to open SEC play.
