As for morning content, there's a Floyd Raven story out front talking about Ole Miss' home visit with the four-star cornerback last night. In an effort to smooth things with Raven, following Kim Dameron's departure from the Ole Miss staff, Tyrone Nix and Chris Vaughn visited Raven in Reserve, La. Also, Neal talked to Miami, Fla., cornerback Andrew Johnson, and that story will go live at 8:30 a.m.
Ole Miss assistant Derrick Nix watched Jermaine Whitehead's basketball game last night and had a home visit with the Amanda Elzy cornerback. The Rebels continue to like their position with Whitehead and think they lead for his services. There hasn't been a roadblock pop up to this point.
LSU is going as hard as possible after C.J. Johnson, but Ole Miss still feels very confident about landing the five-star linebacker. The visit to Baton Rouge on the 28th is scary, but otherwise, UM is in the best position. Obviously the visit this weekend is critical, but it's not like recruits routinely have bad visits. It's odd when an official visit goes anything but great.
