8:32 p.m. Ruston, La., CB Kentrell Brice entertained Dave Wommack tonight and will visit Ole Miss officially on Jan. 20. The Rebels are clearly making a move for Brice. Will it be too late? We shall see, but the lure of the SEC is strong for Brice.Neal McCready

4:49 p.m. I'm told there will be five or six official visitors over the next few days, apparently starting with Pierce Burton as early as today and Seisay tomorrow. We'll hopefully get some sort of full list to you, as it fleshes out and becomes more accurate, in the next day or so. --Neal McCready

12:54 p.m.Eastern Arizona CC cornerback Mohammed Seisay will officially visit Ole Miss tomorrow and stay until Thursday night when he leaves for an official visit at Arkansas. Talked to him a second ago. Story soon. He's a December grad. Arkansas and Nebraska currently lead.

11 a.m. We're hearing Ole Miss is trying to get College of San Francisco offensive lineman Pierce Burton to visit this weekend. Attempts to reach him last night were unsuccessful. We heard rumblings in Montgomery last week that Ole Miss really liked Tunica, Miss., safety James Northern. He's one to keep an eye on next month, we're hearing.

People have asked about Bobby Massie's status. I talked to sources close to the program last night who said Massie was in the IPF last week saying he wasn't sure what he was going to do but admitting he was being advised on multiple fronts to stay for his senior season. I know he met with Hugh Freeze last week but I have no idea what the meeting was about or if that topic was resolved. -- Neal McCready

7:10 a.m.

I talked to Oxford, Miss., quarterback Jeremy Liggins yesterday afternoon. Story is out front. We played phone tag for a day or so, but he called me back yesterday. It's the first time I've heard him admit that any school -- Alabama in this case -- would likely move him to another position. It didn't seem to bother him. More matter of fact, but I found it interesting. He seems pretty set on taking all his visits. He doesn't give much of a clue as to which way he's leaning, but I do think he likes Freeze and the offense Hugh plans to run.

Dan Mullen and Les Miles have already used their in-home visits with Liggins. Freeze told the QB that he'd use his sometime in January.

Neal talked to Beniquez Brown and Kivon Coman last night. Freeze used his in-home visit on both of them yesterday. We'll see. UT and MSU appear to still be favorites for Brown, but Ole Miss gets a late visit, so if he takes it, the Rebels will have a shot to swing him.

Freeze was obviously a busy man, as he went in-home with Petal QB Anthony Alford last night. We'll catch up with Anthony soon, but it's interesting Freeze went ahead with his visit right now. Maybe he felt he needed to get a name with a face quickly or maybe it was an effort to head off some of the USM stuff Neal referenced in yesterday's nuggets.

LSU also visited Alford Monday, but I have no clue which coaches went to see him.

Here are highlights of Ole Miss commit Kenno Loyal. He's one we haven't talked to since the coaching change. Not big on answering his phone.

Rivals.com southeast analyst Keith Niebuhr had these final thoughts regarding AL-MS Classic.

On Ole Miss targets along the defensive line:

"Rivals100 defensive end Channing Ward showed flashes, defensive tackle Issac Gross made Alabama's centers work for everything they got, and ends A.J. Jefferson and Temario Strong each had multiple tackles for loss. Gross' performance was especially eye-opening because he's a bit of a tweener at 6-2, 260 pounds. But his quickness off the ball, strength and determination make him a difficult matchup. Moving forward, he still needs to bulk up, but the arrow certainly is pointing up on the Ole Miss commit."

On Alford:

"Mississippi quarterback Anthony Alford of Petal (Miss.) had a day to forget as he finished 5 of 15 for 58 yards and one interception. But you shouldn't be too hard on him when evaluating his performance. Because Mississippi had no running game to speak of, everything fell on Alford. But really, he had no chance. Clearly, Mississippi's offensive line was overmatched from the start as Alford was harassed the entire game, often running for his life just a split second after the ball was snapped. Alford, whose season just ended a week earlier, will have time to rest up before heading to San Antonio for the upcoming U.S. Army All-American Bowl. There, he'll have all FBS linemen blocking for him, so that will give us a better idea of what kind of ability he truly has."
