Alabama is selling beer and other alcohol in its club levels at baseball this season. I'm told Texas A&M is doing it at baseball and football, as well. Note the beer over the bar in the picture.
I'm also told Alabama plans to do a beer garden on a patio once it warms up for good this season. I talked to Ross Bjork about it on Saturday, and he said that SEC rules allow alcohol to be sold in private spaces, so that's how the schools are doing it. However, local and state laws prohibit Mississippi schools from doing that.
Schools would much rather sell it than have the locker programs in club areas because it allows for consumption to be controlled and it's also an extra revenue stream. But, alas, while Alabama and others are doing it, Ole Miss' hands are tied currently.
