These are our rushing numbers per year since Lane has been in Oxford followed by the players who rushed for 500+ in each year. Per ESPN

2020 - 26th (210.6/G) Ealy/Corral/Conner (421)
2021 - 12th (217.6/G) Ealy/Conner/Corral/Parrish Jr
2022 - 3rd (256.6/G) Judkins/Evans/Dart
2023 - 41st (176.5/G) Judkins/Bentley/Dart (391)

Averages out to 20th per year and 215 yards per game.

These numbers tell me all I need to know about the running game in our system no matter who you have in the backfield.

Above average in the 2 years prior to QJ arrival, elite year one with him (and Zach Evans) in the backfield, below average the next with him in the backfield.

I get it, he's a great player, no two ways around it. I'm just not sure how much it matters in our system. Very similar to how it is in the NFL.
