Watched aTm and Georgia and focused on the LOS for the most part.

A few random thoughts that are just my opinions. Not declaring myself right, just some stuff I noticed.

Walked away feeling like Harris is our best DL. His first step is faster than I thought. His flexibility is outstanding for a kid who is 6’7. I see him in person almost every day and he’s shockingly thin for what you’re used to seeing on a DL. My goodness, if he could bulk up, maybe put on 20-30lbs he could be a top 10 draft pick. He gets skinny and shoots gaps really well. His penetration in the run game is a problem when he guesses correctly. Really looking forward to seeing him evolve.

Watching Nolen reminded me of watching Nkemdiche. He’s so strong and so explosive. Just such a high level athlete. Didn’t seem to make a ton of plays In the one game I watched him closely but just jumps off the screen with his ability. Not an anchor, and not a pure pass rusher, but just a very large, very fast, very explosive interior DL. Hoping that in our system with Pete coaching him he can find real success and be utilized correctly. He will take up a ton of attention and make the other players around him so much better.

The Georgia game was eye opening. I don’t remember seeing Carson Beck sweat one time. Dude could’ve read a book in the pocket. We just couldn’t create pressure no matter what we did. It was shocking.

Watching these two games gave me a better respect and appreciation for Q Judkins. There were some real rumors floating at the beginning of the portal process that he may not be a Rebel next year. Like several here, I had begun trying to convince myself that spending the money might not be worth it. NOPE. I was completely wrong. The kid is a stud. Not saying anything revelatory here, I know, but damn. Judkins creates plays when they just aren’t there. Rarely is taken down by one man. He’s extremely difficult to tackle. Runs with so much force and anger when he’s dialed in. He’s explosive and mean. He’s an absolute game changer and will be a huge part of Ole Miss getting to where it wants to be next season. People say it, and I often think of them as being homers, but no, he’s the best RB in college football right now. Not debatable in my opinion. So excited to have him back.

Haven’t watched any of the new WRs closely but we are going to miss Wade’s speed. By the end of the season he was beginning to really get separation down field and was able to go up and make big plays. Talk about getting all the juice out of the squeeze. How lucky were we to get that kid? Such a cool kid, too. Wish him well.

Dart. I’m a huge Jaxson Dart fan. I see firsthand how his teammates gravitate to him. He’s a leader, plain and simple. Kid is tough as nails, makes great decisions and is an all around good dude. His teammates and coaches respect and love him. We need him to get more accurate downfield. There are plays left on the field in every game. Don’t know if these are protection issues or mechanical issues. I’m no coach. But I see him consistently miss throws to open WRs deep. I’m optimistic that this area will improve. He took a huge step this season and I’m excited to see what a year 3 Jaxson Dart looks like in a system that he has complete control of. With the new weapons he has, watch the hell out.

Would love to have some real playable depth at TE. I’m as big a Hudson fan as there is on this site. I love the kid, but the biggest ability is dependability. We need another athletic TE. Preferably with some foot speed.

Today is my first day off in quite some time in case you couldn’t tell. 😂
Felt like talking some real football if anyone is interested?

I welcome any of your thoughts. Let’s try to keep it constructive.
