Blows for Oregon to have to face them right out of the gate but there have always been good teams that were left out because of one off game (Michigan in OSU’s case).
They need to fix the pairings (get rid of the byes) and quit letting teams that didn’t play anyone in (looking at you SMU and Indiana) but I am glad that more teams are able to compete in the playoffs. Going forward, I suspect the number 1 seed will not win the natty the majority of the time.
