Rain and lightning washed out Friday's baseball game.

The series will be completed with a doubleheader beginning at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The second game will begin 40 minutes after the first one is completed, and both games will be only seven innings. It’s the Rebels’ ninth doubleheader of the season.

Texas A&M (43-9, 18-9) was a 4-0 winner against Ole Miss (29-25, 14-14) on Thursday.

The first game Saturday will match up two sophomore right-handers with Ole Miss’ Brady Bramlett (6-3, 3.73) and Texas A&M’s Ryan Hendrix (4-1, 3.48). Neither team has announced a starter for the series finale.

Bramlett has allowed 15 earned runs in 10.1 innings during his last two starts. Prior to that, he’d allowed just 15 earned runs in 62 innings on the season.

South Carolina knocked Hendrix around for five runs on eight hits in 3.1 innings during his most recent start. In his four starts this season, he’s given up 15 earned runs in 17 innings. He’d previously only allowed one earned run in 26.1 relief innings.

Saturday’s forecast lists a 55 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms at 1 p.m.
