Whether you believe that it's shady or not with respect to picking favorites. There is one thing that I believe that we can all agree upon and that is that the SEC has to do something to improve it's officiating. The conference office gets the same cut of the proverbial revenue pie as each member institution. What are they doing with all of that money? They need to make a sizable investment and commitment to making sure SEC officiating is of a high quality. If the NFL can do it, then the SEC can do it as well.
