Serious Question about Patrick Willis' Retirement

Has he accomplished enough in his NFL career to be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer? 8 years, 7 pro bowl selections, 5 All Pro selections. If there are other accolades I have left out, please feel free to add them. I haven't followed professional football closely since Jerry Jones bought the Cowboys and fired Tom Landry so any informed input would be appreciated. Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I saw he was retiring was if he was getting out too early to make the cut for the HOF.

Personally, I believe Patrick Willis is one of our all time greats at Ole Miss. He could be the successor to Archie as 1st Ambassador for Ole Miss. I hope that an effort is made by our administration to make a strong connection with him that lasts for generations. I am talking number retirement and that type of stuff.
