The Ole Miss men's basketball team has been one of the best stories in college basketball this season. They have completely turned things around under second-year head coach Chris Beard and proved that they could beat any team in the country in what was a loaded SEC this season.

However, not everyone is a believer in the Rebels this March. Despite their impressive record and resume, CBS Sports analyst Tim Doyle still thinks that Ole Miss is overrated.

"Whoever wins that game (between San Diego State and North Carolina) is beating Ole Miss," said Doyle. "I think Ole Miss is a fraud."

Doyle played college basketball in the early 2000s at both St. John's and Northwestern, so it makes sense that he would harbor some animosity for the SEC, who won several championships in that era. However, as a broadcaster, you should be aiming to stay objective, and nothing in Ole Miss' resume would indicate that they are frauds.

By the NET rankings, the team is No. 28 in the country and boasts eight wins in Quad 1, as well as a 5-1 record in Quad 2. They've also taken down some of the best teams in the country in Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee and Louisville, the latter three of which are currently ranked in the top 10 of the AP Poll.

This is just bulletin board material for Chris Beard and the Rebels, who thrive on being the underdog. They'll have a chance to brush these notions off when they take on the winner of San Diego State and North Carolina on Friday, March 21 at 4:05 p.m. EST.
