Typically when a player is drafted they send him to the minors where the player doesn't earn a living wage. I think the pay per season is below $10k. I think if that proves to be the case for him he would be better off playing for OM.

Another reason I selfishly would like AJ to stay is to play just one baseball season. I know that's not happening if he did stay due to all the pre draft BS leading to, but he looks to be very good at that sport too. Back to your point High, isn't the signing bonus big enough? In my reference I think Moses got $100,000 and that was large back then, if my fading memory serves me.

He's projected as a first round pick and likely top 10. A seven figure signing bonus would accompany that selection along with a contract that will bind him to baseball activities only.

If that is the case I seriously doubt he will ever suit up for the Rebs. We better have plan #2 in motion.
