I posted here last month that Ann Arbor (Mich.) Skyline five-star LB Daelin Hayes had been talking with Ole Miss and was considering an official visit. This past Friday I covered Daelin's game and had a chance to talk with him further. He told me then that he had ceased contact with Ole Miss and every other coaching staff that was not USC and Notre Dame.
Well, on Sunday Daelin became the first casualty of the Steve Sarkisian fall-out, announcing his de-commitment from USC. I am hearing from those close to him that Ole Miss was one of the first to reach out. Now that this recruitment has turned, and because Ole Miss was being considered for an official visit previously, this is definitely something to watch as it relates to a possible trip to Oxford.
Hayes does have an official visit scheduled this weekend to Notre Dame and he just set one to Oklahoma for Nov. 20. The Notre Dame visit is one to watch - they are definitely the team to beat right now.
