We have heard for several years now that college coaches are tired of all of the headaches that come with coaching at this level. The unreasonable demand of their time with things like the rubber chicken circuit. The unending requirements in recruiting, not only for prospective athletes, but now with their own teams and other teams players through the portal. We’ve been told by people like @tsiskey and @Neal McCready along with others to expect a number of college coaches to take positions in the nfl to avoid these issues. Guys like Kirby, Ryan Day and Sark have been rumored for NFL jobs and I doubt they’re the only ones.
Something that I was thinking about this morning, now that the House settlement is expected to kick in July, teams will be competing, at the least, on a more level playing field. Obviously all will not be equal, but closer to that. programs will at least be able to retain some sought after talent. do you see a migration of NFL guys to college? The Bill Belichick to UNC deal got me thinking, guys who are familiar with “salary cap” and how to operate within one are going to see some opportunity in college where they may not have been attracted to before. Coaches who have had years of knowing how to buy low and cut high. The major factor in the NFL in success is QB. Well, in college you can just go buy one. Guys who know how to operate in the world of professional football that college is growing closer to by the day. I could see this. Especially with coaches who are past their prime in the NFL.

I’m bored at work on a slow day during finals. Curious to hear y’all’s thoughts.
