In honor of you saying there would be a thread, Ill start one. Every time you say that Sopranos only gets the credit because it was first, drives me nuts. It still an awesome show and holds up against anything. I still re-watch it every year. Now I am a YUGE mafia guy (maybe you aren't), so maybe that has something to do with my opinion, but its one of the best written/acted/ironically funny shows ever created. It HAS to be listed in anyone's top 5 (personally my number 1).
GOT would be 1 without season 6, or if they had simply made a season 7 and didn't rush the story.
