It might have looked like South Alabama was running up the score, but it really wasn’t​ Yes, South Alabama kept its starters in until midway through the third quarter, but its backups also scored three touchdowns in a little less than 12 minutes of clock time (the fourth quarter was shortened to six minutes by mutual agreement of the two head coaches). Northwestern State is one of the worst defensive teams these eyes have ever seen, almost completely incapable of making open-field tackles. The Jaguars had five drives of three plays or less, and scored 87 points despite having touchdowns called back by penalty or overturned by replay a total of eight times (in one stretch, the Jaguars scored touchdowns on three consecutive plays after the first two were nullified by flags). Short of taking a knee or punting on every snap in the second half, it’s hard to see how the lopsided score could have been avoided.

Happened to my buddy who had that game. The game has to have a minimum of 55 minutes played to be valid or something. The website he uses with his bookie voided it. He texted his bookie about it and the guy credited his account with a win.
