@Chase Parham I assume the rule of the leg not counting is an archaic-esque rule where the winning runner used to actually break tape upon crossing the finish line. You didn't want to put the tape at the bottom for obvious tripping reasons, so it was chest height and with a lack of technology we have right now, the easiest way to see who who because they have the tape on their chest.

At least, that's what I assume without doing any research and seems the most logical reason as to why.

ETA: Also, for whatever reason, I really enjoyed your incredulous "why does Pete have you blocked?" earlier in the pod.
