Here's Saturday's thread, in case you missed it. I would suggest reading it if you're behind. There's a lot of information there, from commitments to things to watch to an overview of what's happening on the recruiting trail around the SEC.
Happy Sunday. Christmas Eve is a week from today. National Signing Day is Wednesday. The quiet period, meaning no in-person contact between coaches and prospects (including transfer portal prospects), begins tonight and runs through Jan. 11.
Saturday was quite eventful. Sunday will have a difficult time matching it, but there are things to watch for today.
I believe you'll see, as early as today, an announcement regarding Quinshon Judkins -- and, I would assume, The Grove Collective -- stating his intention to return to Ole Miss for his junior year.
Multiple sources have indicated that South Carolina transfer portal wide receiver Juice Wells has agreed to terms with Ole Miss. I expect an announcement today or tomorrow, but I could be wrong.
All signs Saturday pointed towards Ole Miss landing what would be a massive commitment from Texas A&M transfer portal defensive tackle Walter Nolen. He remained in Oxford Saturday night. Now, he could still go to Tuscaloosa for a few hours today, I suppose (he'll have to leave the Ole Miss campus no later than very early this afternoon), but there's a buzz among people close to the Ole Miss program that it's done and he'll transfer to Ole Miss next month. I have no idea on announcement times. I heard some buzz about Monday, but that very well could just be rumor.
Speaking of rumor, what started as a rumor Saturday really picked up steam Saturday night, and that's the desire of Starkville, Miss., four-star ATH Braylon Burnside to sign with Ole Miss on Wednesday. He has family members who want/wanted him to sign with Mississippi State, and that certainly remains a possibility, but some of his teammates last week at the Mississippi-Alabama All-Star Game in Hattiesburg said he made it clear that he, personally, wanted to sign with Ole Miss. It's one of the few high school stories to follow between now and Wednesday, especially after Kavion Broussard went ahead and pulled the trigger Saturday night and flipped from Miami to Ole Miss.
One other rumor that might be worth following: There's some buzz that Hattiesburg (Oak Grove), Miss., four-star cornerback PJ Woodland, who is committed to LSU, has been offered by Ole Miss and is considering a late flip to the Rebels. Woodland was committed to Mississippi State from June to mid-October but then flipped to LSU on Oct. 22. His Oak Grove teammate, Anthony Maddox Jr., flipped from Texas A&M to Ole Miss on Saturday. It's a rumor that seems to have some legs, but that's all I know as of this morning. We'll follow along, obviously, and update as we know more.
More when/if we get it...
