I feel so bad for Matt, Brake, and JuJu. This team, as good and frustrating as it was at times was them. They accomplished more than anyone envisioned and it was a lot of fun to watch. It makes me hurt more for them knowing we should have had that game. I ended up riding the Marta back home after the Auburn game with JuJu’s brother, unknowingly at first, and there was frustration from him about what could or couldn’t have been done; overall it just seemed like everyone was heartbroken. Matt may have been the only one that started and ended his career as a rebel, but man those guys are rebels in my book. I feel for Chris as well. It seemed he really loved this team which I believe is rare for a coach despite what they might say. There was so much buy in from everyone in the staff and players that made this run possible. I believe if you ask Chris 10-15 years from now he would say he loved this team as much as his semi pro team. Lastly I feel for the fans like myself that were there at the game. Auburn definitely out numbered everyone by the end, but the Rebs were louder than anyone compared to the numbers. I’ll remember these games and this team for the rest of my life, and I hope one day we get to a point to where our fans are taking over entire arenas like the auburn fans did last night.
