I’m Anglican, but find myself leaning more and more Orthodox/Catholic as I work harder to live Christ’s salvation as a present gift and not fire insurance.
Why is there an argument against “transubstantiation” by so many sects of Christianity that otherwise take the Bible so literally?
I’m not looking to start a fight. I’m interested in what people believe and why. It isn’t something I thought much about, frankly, until I got to it yesterday in the Bible in a Year podcast. But after hearing the word proclaimed aloud, I don’t see much room for taking Jesus’s word any other way than at its face value.
