LSU had 22 first downs to OM’s 15.. LSU outgained OM 406-313.. LSU had four turnovers.. OM one..
Near the end of the game, Hugh Freeze opted to have Bo Wallace throw a pass, which was intercepted, on third and seven from the LSU 30 with :07 to play.. Freeze opted for the play rather than risk Gary Wunderlich try a 47-48 yard FG…
I thought about that when Davis hit the 57 yarder in OT.. a kick that would have been good if it was 62-63 yards..
Different games and coaching approaches, but OM not able to make crucial plays when needed…
