Lane Kiffin got a ton of heat for the ROI, from the money spent on football, why is it not comparable for Beard?
Comparable to basketball lane had a sweet sixteen borderline elite eight team. Probably underachieved. beard is staring an 8-9 seed in the face while outspending schools like Auburn.
The roster he put together features a 5'10 SG and no big man that can rebound. The tallest player we have is a 6'9 power forward that thinks he is KD half the time with mid range jumpers. Atleast lane and Pete were able to assemble insane talent with the money allocated for football.
Anyways, find it interesting that there is not similar sentiment toward beard that was given to Kiffin. Think both are great coaches but the ability to assemble teams in the transfer era I definitely have more trust in Pete and Kiffin than beard as it currently stands.
