Welcome to The Wednesday Word! This devotional series began as part of my New Year’s resolution to spend more time in God’s Word, and I felt led to share what I’m learning along the way. My hope is that these weekly reflections encourage, challenge, and bless you as much as they do me. God bless & Hotty Toddy!
Here’s last week's if you missed it:

Trusting God In Difficult Times
Scriptures:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." — Isaiah 41:10 (NIV)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight." — Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
Reflection:
Life is full of challenges —uncertainties, disappointments, and painful experiences that shake our faith. In these moments, we often ask, “Where is God?” or “Why is this happening?” Yet, Scripture reminds us that God is always present, offering strength and guidance. Isaiah 41:10 reassures us that we are not alone in our struggles. God promises to strengthen and uphold us, even when we feel weak. Proverbs 3:5-6 calls us to trust God wholeheartedly, even when we don’t understand what’s happening. Trusting God means believing that He sees the bigger picture and is working all things for our good. Though trials may seem overwhelming, God is always in control, leading us through them.
How to Apply This to My Life
Today’s Prayer:
Heavenly Father, in the midst of my struggles, I choose to trust You. I may not understand everything happening around me, but I know that You are in control. Strengthen my heart when I feel weak, remind me of Your promises when I doubt, and help me to lean on You instead of my own understanding. Thank You for being my refuge and my strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

How to Apply This to My Life
- Pray First – Instead of worrying, bring your burdens to God in prayer. Talk to Him honestly about your fears and struggles.
- Surrender Control – Let go of the need to have all the answers and trust that God is guiding your steps.
- Remind Yourself of His Promises – Meditate on scriptures that reaffirm God’s faithfulness. Write them down or speak them aloud daily.
- Take One Step at a Time – Even when you don’t see the full picture, take small steps of faith, knowing God is leading you.
- Surround Yourself with Encouragement – Seek fellowship with believers who will remind you of God’s goodness and pray with you.
