Va. F Chandler Lawson visited Kansas officially over the weekend. As I posted last night, an offer is not imminent, and may not come at all.
According to some people I talked to around the program there, Kansas has several names above Lawson, and is the leader to land at least one of them.
If Kansas doesn't offer, that's when things get interesting. Lawson and his family, as well as several other prominent people in the Memphis-area recruiting scene still rave about what Kermit was able to do with Nick King.
What's next for Chandler? He heads to Atlanta for a visit with former Memphis coach, now at GT, Josh Pastner. Pastner had hired his dad, Keelon. The Lawson family and Pastner have quite a bit of history, for better or worse.
I would venture currently, to say that Ole Miss and Georgia Tech are the two most likely landing spots for Lawson at this time.
Memphis is NOT in the picture.
