Ole Miss and Florida get together for three games starting tonight at 7 p.m. The series is scheduled to continue at 6:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, respectively, but the weather could easily alter those current plans. The Gators are in a rough spot, sitting at 18-9 overall and 0-6 in the SEC following sweeps to Tennessee and Georgia. Both those teams are really good, but the Gators are scuffling beyond just the competition.

The projected starters for this weekend:

Game 1: LHP Hunter Elliott (4-0, 2.79 ERA) vs. RHP Aidan King (3-1, 2.39 ERA)

Game 2: RHP Riley Maddox (3-2, 6.20 ERA) vs. TBA

Game 3: RHP Mason Nichols (2-0, 4.74 ERA) vs. TBA

Florida is without expected Friday and Saturday starters Liam Peterson and Pierce Coppola. Peterson is one of the top prospects in the 2026 Draft, and Coppola had a 1.42 ERA through three starters before the injury. Any team isn't the same without the top two arms. Ole Miss is aware of that one. Lefty Frank Menendez, a top bullpen arm, is also out for the year. Kyle Jones was expected to hit leadoff, but he's out for the season. Second baseman Cade Kurland is playing through a shoulder injury when he does play.

Gator starters averaged three innings per start against Georgia, and in 25 innings pitched, Florida walked 17 and hit five Bulldogs.

Worth noting that Florida has three one-run losses in its six SEC defeats. They are only scoring 3.33 runs per game in SEC play.
