Where Would Oxford Be Without Ole Miss?
A Rivals Member said “So NIL is a Tax and if you Don't pay your tax you're punished?”
I would like to ask a question, where would the businesses in Oxford be if Ole Miss shut down?? Where would the City of Oxford be if Ole Miss shut down?? Where would the housing industry in Oxford be if Ole Miss shut down?? How many people work for Ole Miss including all positions and I mean all positions from Janitors, Lawn and Garden, Handy Men, Plumbers, Heat and Air, Teachers, Professors...Coaches any and all positions that work for Ole Miss that live in Oxford and the surrounding area and spend their money in Oxford because they live and work for Ole Miss??
How many businesses are in Oxford because of Ole Miss?? How many extra people Live and Work for the business in Oxford in Grocery Stores, Garages, Auto Dealerships, Bars, Clothing Stores, Doctors Offices, Hospital, Any and All businesses because of Ole Miss?? You can carry this on and on and realize that without Ole Miss Oxford would be nothing but a "Very Tiny" little hole in the wall community. Ole Miss Is Oxford and without Ole Miss Oxford would dry up.
No, “NIL Is Not a Tax" NIL is a Privilege and Not Only a Privilege NIL is a Responsibility that every business and every individual in Oxford and the county should be Proud and Glad to support because without Ole Miss many people living in Oxford now Would Not Live in Oxford. Without Ole Miss there would be no city of Oxford there would only be a tiny community with Few Jobs and Few Businesses.
All local individuals and all business in Oxford should be Proud to support NIL including Rebel Grove, including Chase Parham and Neal McCready. Yes Neal even you should be proud to Support NIL not because you are an Ole Miss fan, not because you are an Ole Miss supporter but You and Chase Owe Your Rivals Business and Good Living like all other businesses in Oxford to Ole Miss. Yes Neal, I know you would make it somewhere else but if you were doing the same thing with Rivals in Birmingham or Starkville etc or if you were working with the Local Newspaper, Radio or TV Stations you should support the NIL for those Universities because they would be the ones who help make your business what it is.
So in my opinion NIL is definitely not a tax it is a responsibility of everyone to support the Largest Business in Oxford and the Surrounding County because Ole Miss is Supporting Your Jobs and Business and the Bigger and Better Ole Miss Is the Bigger and Better Oxford and All the Business Are and that includes every job and business. Get on board Oxford and make Ole Miss’ NIL hard to beat, it is your Responsibility and it might help one of the best coaches in America stay a Rebel and If Not it will make the next coach’s job easier with a large NIL Budget.
