Ole Miss landed a commitment last week from Dallas QB Devante Kincade. He probably won't be the Rebels' final commitment in July. Here are some strong candidates to join the Rebels' Class of 2013 commitment class over the next few weeks.
1. Daronte Bouldin -- The Canton, Miss., OT is expected to choose the Rebels over Miss. State as early as this week. More likely, Bouldin will make a trip to Oxford in the next couple of weeks and pull the trigger then, but the Rebels are clear leaders for his commitment.
2. Jaylen Reeves-Maybin -- The Clarksville, Tenn., ATH (likely a LB in college) has been on the camp circuit but has indicated he hopes to make a decision soon. Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Vanderbilt are in the mix as well, but the hints from JRM seem to point to Ole Miss.
3. Duke Riley -- The River Ridge, La., LB also really likes TCU, but the pull of the SEC appears to have Ole Miss out in front, per sources. There's a real chance Riley waits awhile to make a decision, as he's stated he plans to, but some believe he could pull the trigger on a commitment soon to reserve a spot at his school of choice.
4. Peyton Barber -- The Alpharetta, Ga., RB plans to announce his decision on July 29, days after visiting Arizona State and about a month after visiting North Carolina. The Sun Devils, Tar Heels and Ole Miss appear to be his favorites, and the Rebels have made Barber a priority, per sources close to the UM program.
5. Quinton Lane -- The Ackerman, Miss., ATH (likely a DB at the college level) likes both Ole Miss and Miss. State. He almost committed to Ole Miss in early June but decided to wait. Lane has indicated he plans to wait until after the season to make a decision, but sources have indicated both Ole Miss and Miss. State are likely to press for a commitment prior to the start of the high school season, as Lane's stock could easily skyrocket this fall.
