In 2013, we made the trek up a torrential snowstorm to Kansas City to watch Ole Miss play Wisconsin in the opening round. Honestly one of my favorite memories as an Ole Miss fan. Like Milwaukee, Kansas City was full of big programs. Kansas State played in our session (obviously lost to LaSalle), and you had Kansas and North Carolina playing in the opening round that night. The Sprint Center (now the T-Mobile Center) was hopping.
My family and I took a weeklong spring break trip last week and just couldn't swing any more time off work, but I'm envious to you that are going. Will definitely be going to Atlanta next weekend if we made S16 or better. Make sure to enjoy the moment and try to watch other games, especially the other one in the session and show up early to cheer on Lipscomb.
The year we went, when we beat Wisconsin, all of the Ole Miss fans left afterward and skipped the LaSalle/K-State game. I get it, the bars outside downtown were awesome and we had Marshall jumping on tables celebrating. But, we literally had high row upper deck seats and were able to move down in the third row in the Ole Miss section.
Be loud and give UNC fans hell. I'm sure they'll turn out in full force. But Ole Miss fans get rowdy on postseason road games. Give Beard and his team a boost any way you can. They deserve it.
