My mother is 91…and otherwise shockingly healthy…but she’s been mentally declining the last several years. It’s probably just normal dementia - but just wondered if anyone had any experience with the newer drug Leqembi. My father actually passed away with Alzheimer’s, and Aricept basically did nothing for him or my mother.
I’m in Nashville and a while back, we brought up her obvious memory and comprehension issues - and the Dr just treated it like a joke…”Well she IS 90.” Well no shit…I get it. But why wouldn’t I try and do everything I can to help?
