I’ve always wanted to see a show at Red Rocks—and this August, my wife and I finally are. We’re catching Tedeschi Trucks Band, and I’m fired up.
Here’s the deal: I’m in my 50s, laid-back when it comes to concerts. I don’t need to be front row. I also don’t want to spend $780 a ticket just to be closer but I don’t want it to be an unpleasant experience.
So I’m debating—General Admission or Reserved Seating (middle or near the back)?
We’ll have a rental car eventually, but the plan is to take a shuttle to the venue. I’ve heard GA can be great if you show up early—but also that it’s a long haul with lots of stairs, and seats aren’t guaranteed. On the other hand, Reserved is obviously easier, but is the view worth the extra money?
Would love any tips:

Would love any tips:
- Is GA worth it if we get there early?
- Are the upper reserved seats still a good experience?
- Any shuttle tips, parking hacks, or “wish I’d known” advice?
