Could be saying too much here, but Kelly looks just like Archie in his throwing and running abilities. He is fearless, tough, has a rifle arm, and he's a winner! We are set at QB for next year. Don't be surprised if Heisman talk starts. Best QB of the SEC and has behaved himself, too.

I think so. Let's hope not. One more season would solidify a 1st round draft status, I believe. Funny very few are talking about him in the context of the NFL.

Chad is a great quarterback in the making, as he eliminates the mistakes which he has done the last three games, but he doesn't have eyes in the back of his head like Archie, and he is much shorter.

Chad Kelly's size will keep him out of the first round. He has an NFL arm but even great qb's have been passed on till later because of height. Drew Brees and Russel Wilson were both taken after the first round strictly on their height.

Let's hope Uncle Jim will suggest he stay at Ole Miss because he showed his maturity and incredible talent and that Coach Freeze gave him a chance to show that. You can say he grew up at Ole Miss. And he can be THE factor to get us to the SEC championship in Atlanta-we are due. Damn, I hope he stays.

Right, he is shorter. But look at Brees and Wilson. I think Chad will be better than them, even. He's quick to make decisions, has a rifle arm, and is tough. And the intangibles when plays break down-he's dangerous. He'll overcome his stature, I think.

Hold up a min, you are anointing him better than a hall of fame qb after one season in the SEC? He can play the position but still makes a lot of bad throws. Even if he comes back i highly doubt him going higher than the 2nd to 3rd round in the draft. This is just like a few years ago when everyone was talking about John Jerry going in the first round. Some things don't change in the NFL, guards don't get drafted in the first round except in extreme cases and QB's that are 6' and below don't go in the first round.

Not better than Archie, but at that category. His potential is incredible. I am anointing him a winner and higher draft pick if he sticks around. Yes, he made some bad throws, and that's why he should play next season. But his decision making was impeccable, and when he runs, he looks like Archie Manning. His throws have NFL velocity, and are usually on target. Just the way I see it, Pratt. I've seen many Ole Miss QBs like Fourcade, Darnell, Osgood, Garner, Weese, Eli, and he's ever as good as them if not better. Iron out the bad throws, and he'll do well in the NFL in spite of his height. OK, maybe not 1st round, but mid to upper 2nd.

She went 11lbs 13oz caught a couple of years ago & released back into the lake to get even bigger. She put up a great fight & pulled my drag about 6 times, before I landed her. I caught her on a public lake in North MS. Hopefully she is still swimming & getting BIGGER!!

By the way, the roster says he's 6' 2."

Whatever his height, he's going to be a success in the NFL. I truly hope he returns next season and iron out those throws you rightly referred to in your earlier post. I am excited for this guy!

Actually, in my opinion Chad does not favor Archie in either running or passing. If you didn't know who it was, I would say that Chad favors John Fourcade very much in his running style. His passing motion, set up, etc., reminds me a lot of Jevan Snead. My opinon. Yours may differ.

No, my opinion is actually similar to yours. I was thinking about Fourcade. Great point about Snead. Snead's accuracy was terrific. The difference with Fourcade, if I remember right, were the interceptions he threw especially when it counted. That was his Achilles heel. Kelly's running style is very much like Fourcade, but Kelly is a better passer. Going out on a limb here, but Kelly still favors Archie. Kelly is pretty consistent, has a rifle arm, runs like a deer, and has the ability to make a positive play when things break down in the pocket-ad lib. His height is the only difference, but even then he makes great plays. In the Sugar Bowl, I may be eating my words. But I like this guy-just a gut feeling.
