So yesterday afternoon I had a customer who was (according to him) a lifelong MSU guy. Went there, loved the cowbell, blah blah.
Anyway we had some down time and sports came up as he didn't hide his school choice and neither did I. Now, as a rule, I tend to be very diplomatic when it comes to such things with customers (duh) but this guy was on drugs.
He (dead freaking seriously) told me that State had never paid for players (LOL... wut) and so even though it was legal now and they had more money, MSU just didn't like "playing in that game" and that's why they were so behind on NIL. As opposed to OM, who had always paid for players and so they transitioned to NIL very easily.
I asked him if he was on EliteDawgs because he sounded like so many of those guys, as in truly believing that they've always been NCAA angels who "did it the right way" while we were the bandit school who'd always cheated and cut corners.
Never mind Miskelly's, Leo Lewis, Chris Jones, et al.
Just amazing crap to sit and listen to from what otherwise appeared to be a normal guy.
