Siskey and Neal got me thinking when they talked about having bowl games played on Week 1 when people are dying to watch football. No more BS FCS games or cupcakes in this hypothetical.
For no good reason at all, I moved UNC to the SEC, moved Indiana to the BIG 12, and added Notre Dame to the ACC. 17 teams amongst the P4.
In this scenario, the ACC plays the BIG 12 and the SEC plays the BIG 10. Matchups based off very loose power rankings. Here's how week 1 could look in this dream scenario:
*Location moved so that there is not overlap in city.
A lot of these teams / locations probably don't make sense, but they don't anyway when the games are played in the middle of December with opt-outs, teams finishing a season 6-6, etc. Imagine this lineup on Labor Day Weekend. Sign me up.
