Probably the best decision LSU could make. Considering how LSU has underachieved, Orgeron will get some of the thuggery out of some of those LSU recruits and set them right. He'll put a foot in their butts and he has shown he is a great recruiter.

You do realize he was already working there as DL coach and he is just serving as the interim coach till the end of the season. LSU didn't actually have any problem players they just lost two games and didn't like how Les refused to change the offense. They wanted to fire him last year and the governor stepped in. Now they have the money together and pulled the trigger.
Wow, what drama at LSU! Really don't get why he changed his winning ways. Four players arrested in Baton Rouge this summer, and guys not playing to their potential. So he's not really in? Just an interim? He deserves better.

Orgeron couldn't win at Ole Miss but LSU is a far better program with better facilities and fan support. He could win there.
I always liked Orgeron and wish him well except for one game. He made mistakes here but he has learned from those mistakes.

think he did well as interim HC @USC. Make no mistake, he has the game against OM circled.
I firmly believe that due to the Les Miles job circus LSU really needs a homerun hire and sadly Bebe isn't it. To be clear I'm not anti coach O we attended Northwester State University together and knew each other casually.
