Ole Miss’ Fahn Cooper Tabbed SEC O-Lineman of the Week
Honored for Performance in Win over Vanderbilt
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Ole Miss senior offensive tackle Fahn Cooper was named Southeastern Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week by the league office Monday after helping the third-ranked Rebels to a 27-16 win over Vanderbilt.
Cooper, a native of Crystal Lake, Illinois, started at left tackle for the fourth straight game and helped pave the way for a 133-yard rushing performance for Jaylen Walton and 472 total team yards in the hard-fought SEC victory.
The Rebels capitalized on five of six red-zone chances and have converted 20 of 21 chances inside the 20 this year.
Cooper has served as a capable fill-in at left tackle for All-American Laremy Tunsil, who has sat out each of the first four games during an NCAA investigation. Last year’s starter at right tackle, Cooper has helped the Ole Miss offense rank second nationally in scoring (54.8 points per game) and eclipse 400 yards in every game this year.
No. 3 Ole Miss (4-0, 2-0 SEC) travels to The Swamp to face No. 23 Florida (4-0, 2-0 SEC) this Saturday for the right to remain unbeaten on the season. Kickoff is 6 p.m. CT, televised by ESPN.
