If it were something of merit, such as the kid had bad work ethic, wasn’t a good teammate, etc., there would be whispers to our beat, particularly Neal, Chase, and Ben (where fans gather in droves). If anyone on our staff had valid reasons to absolve blame, they would’ve done so already. That has happened across multiple staffs if you’ve been here long enough.
The fact that you hear just complete silence and no one on the beat has the slightest clue what’s going on tells me some people’s egos have gotten in the way.
The kid didn’t run particularly well against Georgia, but no one has behind this OL all year. He scored a redzone TD two weeks ago and made some critical catches in the middle of the field that sparked our offense.
I don’t know what the deal is, but when you trot Micah freakin’ Davis out there on Saturday, don’t piss on me and tell me it’s raining. This whole fanbase has been gaslit the whole year for having the audacity to use our two God-given optic organs.
