I’ve said it in other threads.
We were out coached and schemed multiple times this season by inferior teams. Yesterday, after a bye week, was infuriating.
Lane is too smart of a coach and offensive mind to have the results we had. We literally did nothing creative to offset the lack of a running game.
He has lots of distractions in Oxford he didn’t have initially. Sure, they’re probably why he’s still here.
But no one is going to convince me this staff out worked anyone this year. Lane didn’t forget how to coach.
Screw the pro mindset and deferring to your staff. Fire your buddies and get back to the grind. I don’t want to see us out schemed again. I’d rather lose with less talent than have big payrolls and underperform.
IF you are going to shift to the GM type approach then you sure as hell better have an elite staff…and it’s tough to keep those staffs together, ask Orgeron. There is a reason our staff hasn’t been poached.
