The problem is Mullet can't beat Freeze with his scrubs. He's a Bo Wallace fumble being 0-4. The future looks dim for the hunchbac. You gotta recruit in this league.
Anyone can recruit in this league if they are willing to tempt an NCAA investigation. Apparently Freeze is.

You really got to love moral victories. I'm genuinely glad to see Black Bear fans getting maximum mileage out of those wins - it's the kind of thing Ole Miss fans tell their grandkids about, and the past two seasons may well end up the 'glory days' for a whole generation of OM faithful...
Because when Ole Miss wins on the field it's a "moral victory", whereas if anyone else wins on the field, it's legit. Right? No one does "Les" with more than LSU. Pity.
Not at all. Moral victories are the victories you celebrate when you don't actually have any hardware to celebrate. Like you guys did back in '63 (I don'the think hanging 'Co-West Champion' banners count). Since then it's been moral victory after moral victory. And that's fine, we should all find reasons to celebrate the teams we love, even during a half-century drought.
That's a good point about Miles, in 11 years all he has to show for his efforts are a couple of national championship game appearances. It's pretty hard to do less than that. Well, when you're an actual contender anyway.

You're too modest...With the talent Miles has every year, he should have more than that. Bama's got his number...Ole Miss does too, about half the time.

LSU under Les Miles has had the second best record in the SEC over that time, and has had the 3rd or 4th best record among all the teams in the Power 5 as well. Not bad playing in a division that routinely churns out national champions. Yes, during Alabama's historic run we have lost to them more than we've won and that's frustrating - I have to admit, they certainly seem to get up for us more than they do for you guys - but even Alabama fans will tell you they were lucky to win a couple of those games. That's just the way it is sometimes. I can promise you this, no one is kneeling the ball with nine minutes left to go in Tiger Stadium.
You know, sometimes I look at ole Ed Oregon and remember when Rebel fans (they were the Rebels back then) used to talk the same smack when he was their head coach that they're talking now. Kind of makes me wonder what position Freeze will coach at LSU down the road...
Anyway, I appreciate the lofty expectations you have for our program, but it begs the question - if we'really under-achieving so badly, why are you guys still in our rear view mirror?

I'm really not sure OM fans should begin any argument with 'other than those two championships...' but whatever. It's all in good fun. None of us will actually know anything until kick-off.
Honest question: what do you predict the final penalties to be? Will the NCAA accept those self-imposed by OM or will they increase them? I invite all Rebel fans to chime in - when the word comes down I'm really going to be interested in who has the better grip on what's going on - we who are on the outside looking in or you guys who might be a little too close to the situation.
I'm only judging LSU with your own standards. Sorry if I hurt your feelings. Ole Miss may lose a few more schollies than what they are self imposing...But if you're hoping for post season ban, not happening.

'about to be'? If Freeze's record was impressive then you wouldn't need to pad it with 'about to bes'. He's about to be put on NCAA probation, that's the biggest 'about to be' that you need to concern yourself with.
If Ole Miss had actually won something more important than the Egg Bowl the last 2 seasons, I would possibly agree. Instead it looks like Ole Miss is going to get hammered with nothing more than a couple of 8/9 win regular seasons to show for it.
I mean, if you are going to wholesale cheat, at least win a few titles from it. They could have hired a good coach and pretty much got the same results they've gotten with Freeze, and done so without cheating. Hell Mullen could have won more games at Ole Miss since 2013 with the same talent.
I think his point is, if you're going to wholesale cheat, at least win something more impressive than the Egg Bowl.
You are bragging about beating Miss State and Alabama. Well Mullen won just 1 game less than Freeze, without cheating. And Alabama won the SEC the last 2 seasons, and a NC in 2015.

Blue bloods win titles. Both LSU and Alabama can point to titles recently. We have to go back to a few decades before you were born to find Ole Miss' last title.
That's the difference between a blue blood program (LSU and Bama) and one that donates blood (Ole Miss).
You're right about that. Bama wrote the book on cheating. If Ole Miss is going to cheat, they should take notes from Bama.
If I were an Ole Miss fan I'd definitely want to see more than a couple of Egg Bowl victories and wins over Bama to show for being put on a probation that's going to kill the program for at least a decade. I'd better see a couple of NCs, hell Ole Miss can't even win the West.
Bama has donated a pint of blood through the nose, the last two seasons against Ole Miss. And will again this year.

Since Bama ended up with an SEC and National title, I doubt very seriously that they even remember losing to Ole Miss.
But beating Alabama is clearly the biggest news in Oxford since Eli was there. Which is why you'll never be a Blue Blood program like Alabama.
