If he couldn't win a championship with the three 5-stars that just left, he never will. You're seeing now what Ole Miss recruiting looks like when it's above board.

Just because you have a few 5 stars doesn't mean you win a championship. Even with 5 stars stacked three deep LSU, Geogia and Florida rarely win. Even Saban has missed a few years despite having double the talent of everyone else. Freeze will continue to build depth and add talent despite the NCAA sanctions. Many of the likely penalties have already been factored in. Freeze is building a program. That concept might be a bit difficult for you to grasp but you'll understand it in three or four years.
The rankings mean little now. Let's see how the final rankings shake out. MooU has 17 commits to Ole Miss 10. You don't understand the effect of numbers on recruiting rankings. Bless your heart. Ole Miss is in on plenty of elite prospects and they'll get some of them. Ole Miss already has more 4 stars than MooU. Cow College can't even hold on to a prospect in their back yard despite Ole Miss problems with the NCAA. Those problems will be over in a few months and MooU will still be MooU. Freeze will only sign about twenty in this class. But it will be a solid class loaded with talent.

Miss State's class has a higher star average than Ole Miss'. In fact, Ole Miss is ranked 12th in the SEC in both points and star average.
Why? Because recruits are cautious to commit to Ole Miss cause they are under investigation for cheating.

You do understand it's very early. What matters is who commits and signs. Ole Miss will only have about twenty schollies so the class won't likely be a top 15 class. Of course recruits are cautious now and so is Freeze. Most recruits have mentioned a post season ban as their chief concern. Once the dust settles Ole Miss will began n again to haul in a number of elite players. They've already snatched Gay out of Starkville.
