Since the start of SEC play Federico is hitting .166 with 9Ks.
I thought we would see it at some point this past weekend but we didn’t. Smithwick has 2 hits against southern miss which is a SEC caliber pitching staff. He hit .313 in SEC play last year and had an OBP over .400.
Not saying we give up on Federico at all because he’s clearly an advanced hitter and gives you good ABs. Scouting reports have gotten out and he’s struggling a bit.
