Exciting matchup this week going to Arkansas to play. They play well and are well coached and we’ve had tough matchups over time against them. Since we’ve been here. Need a good week of practice and do a good job in all areas. Might be rainy on the road, too. Will be a big challenge, one we’re excited about.

I thought Paul was physical and played so hard. He got hurt in our game against them and it was a difference when he was in there. He’s been great for us. Love the energy he plays with. Discussed it today. He needs to make better decisions with penalties but plays hard and is a great teammate.

Have to do a great job containing him. He’s as talented and long as they come. We have to rush well and Petrino has done a great job on offense and given people problems. He did a good job against us last year. They’ve made massive improvements on defense. Doing a great job.

They’re big up front and plugged in portal guys at linebacker and DB. Always play tough and even when at Alabama they play tougher at home. We’ll have to play at home.

We went against Petrino last year. He does a good job with play-action and does a good job with quarterbacks. You can see the improvement when he’s in charge.

I thought Jaxson played really well Saturday and was accurate with the ball especially without the best receiver in the country. We pass protected well. We settled down on defense. They ran some tricky stuff and we settled down and played great defense in the second half. After rewatching it’s a good win. Don’t let people steal your job about winning an SEC game by two scores. It’s the world we are in now. There are expectations you have to win by so many points. It happens at a lot of places with expectations. I want our guys to get when you win in this league and play a dominant half you can work in and be happy. Don’t win and be miserable.

Playing at night in electric atmosphere is an advantage in college and the NFL. Who gets to play at night? LSU again? Shocker. I feel bad for our fans to not have one night conference game. That’s unfortunate for them. Whatever. It’s just really disappointing. It is what it is.

Dr. Luber is doing much better. He’s a great guy and part of our program.

The pass pro was really good Saturday. The one sack was Jaxson’s fault and the one penalty and that had really been an issue, especially on the right side. We have to run block better. That’s everybody. We aren’t doing that well at receiver and tight end too. That’s disappointing. They do a good job and stop a little people running and people disappointing in points scored, look at OU when they aren’t giving it away on offense. That being said, we didn’t block well at tight end and receiver on top of not doing well up front. It’s a bad combination.

The depth up front has been a huge advantage on defense with how we have backups who come in and play well. Some is portal and some is Mississippi high school kids doing a great job. We can rotate in and stay fresh. In the past we had good DLs but wouldn’t have 6 sacks in the fourth quarter. We’d be tired. And we play a little different in the fourth quarter. We want to be safer and take time. We’re not trying to cover the spread. Someone else did, but you don’t want to push it in the fourth and throw a pick six and lose the game. We trust the defense and are trying to win. We slowed down and we tend to be less productive.

All we did was walk through today. Nolen said Saturday he was not able to go in. Hopefully he’ll be able to go in.

Perkins has done an amazing job. He played 80 snaps at LSU and covered punts and kickoffs because of Princely out. Not what we want to do but he does an amazing job to cover kicks and have three or four sacks. In high school he played every play. He is wired differently.

TV timeouts are disruptive but it is what it is. We don’t’ have control. It seems to zap momentum because we sit here forever. They play the bills. Can’t control it.
