Has anyone had medical experience prescribing / monitoring patients or personal experience taking the drug for purposes of chronic pain relief? The attempt is to get away from opioids. The person can't use weed due to working for the state. It apparently comes with a diagnosis for opioid dependence on your medical record too if you want insurance to pay. Stenosis in the lumbar, herniated discs, and general back pains + sciatica are the dominant issues.

What were you experiences with it?

Any issues with the diagnosis itself (like breaking your arm but hospital won't give you pain meds or something like that)?

Would you recommend it for pain relief purposes? Is it less than opioids in terms of its damaging effects on the body?

Other suggestions? The person has "tried PT" but has not considered surgery (and likely wouldn't).
