I have a 20 something niece who thinks she need to have/carry some protection with her. No one's stalking her or anything like that, but her car had a flat fairly late at night in a somewhat sketchy area recently. She was stuck there for awhile with nothing for protection, which made her rethink her dislike/fear of guns.
I'm going to reach her firearm safety and how to shoot but she's a little thing, barely over 5 feet and maybe 100lbs soaking wet. I'm thinking something very easy and stupid simple like a small j frame revolver. Now, my handguns are 45acp and 10mm, but for her I was debating something like a 32 magnum or even a 22 magnum. While I like that you can have up to 7 rounds, I kind of ruled out the 22 because I don't trust rimfire ammo (in pistols anyway) to fire every time.
Anyone have a or shot a 32 H&R magnum revolver? It's a J frame so it's small and from what I've read the recoil is fairly light. Plus the S&W model holds 6 rounds.
Thoughts?
