We don't need anyone with Ole Miss ties. Austin is a decent coach but he isn't the guy to fix us. We need someone at a smaller university that is wrecking the teams they play. We need someone like the guy that was at Boise and is not at Washington, Chris Peterson.

There is something to "knowing Ole Miss" hat only someone with OM connections can understand. There's likely some reason why he hasn't surfaced before. I was just inquiring to that.

He was the Ole Miss offensive coordinator from 2008 - 2010 before leaving to coach Cornell.

Austin’s family had some issues in Oxford. He would never move back here.
