SEC MEN’S BASKETBALL PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

SEC Player of the Week – Florida forward Alex Condon, a 6-foot-11, 230-pound sophomore from Perth, Australia, averaged 22.0 points, 12.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and a block in wins at No. 7 Florida and against Ole Miss. He led the Gators to a road win at Alabama, posting 27 points and 10 rebounds with two blocked shots. He is the only SEC player this century (fifth player nationally) to post those numbers in a Top 10 road win. Condon followed that up with a monster game against Ole Miss with 17 points and 15 rebounds in just 23 minutes. He is just the third SEC player this century to post at least 15 points and 15 rebounds in 25 minutes or less during conference play (Johni Broome, 2023 vs. Georgia; Glen Davis, 2006 at Florida).

SEC Freshman of the Week – Oklahoma guard Jeremiah Fears, a 6-foot-4, 182-pound freshman from Joliet, Ill., averaged 22.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.0 steal in a win over No. 15 Missouri and a victory at Texas. In the win over Missouri, Fears scored a career‐high 31 points on just 13 field goal attempts. He was 9 for 13 from the field and made all 12 of his free throw tries (his 12 makes tied a career high). He added four rebounds, five assists and a steal while committing a career‐low one turnover. In the victory at Texas, Fears scored 13 points with the help of 9‐for‐10 free throw shooting and added two rebounds, four assists and a steal with just two turnovers.
