Co-Player of the Week: Jac Caglianone, Florida
Florida’s Jac Caglianone had 10 hits last week, including six home runs, one double, 10 RBI, eight runs and two walks vs. South Florida and Cincinnati. He launched three home runs in the series finale vs. Cincinnati while also starting on the mound for the Gators on Sunday. Caglianone pitched 4 2/3 innings in the start, allowing two earned runs while striking out six Bearcats. His efforts at the plate helped Florida set a program record with eight home runs in a single game.
Co-Player of the Week: Dylan Crews, LSU
LSU’s Dylan Crews recorded 10 hits last week and batted .714 in the Tigers’ four games last week with three doubles, seven RBI and nine runs scored. He was voted the MVP of the Round Rock Classic, leading LSU to the tournament title. Crews batted .692 (9-for-13) in three games at Round Rock with three doubles, seven RBI and six runs. In the Tigers’ 16-4 win over Sam Houston on Sunday that clinched the tournament championship, Crews was 5-for-6 at the plate with three doubles, four RBI and four runs.
Co-Pitcher of the Week: Liam Sullivan, Georgia
Georgia’s Liam Sullivan fired seven shutout and hitless innings with career-high 11 strikeouts in earning a 9-0 win over Princeton. Sullivan faced just two over the minimum, retiring 21 of the 23 batters he faced with a pair of walks. He also picked off a runner trying to steal that reached on a hit-by-pitch. Georgia won the nine-inning game against the Tigers that ended up as a three-hit combined shutout.
Co-Pitcher of the Week: Noah Hall, South Carolina
South Carolina’s Noah Hall recorded a career-high 12 strikeouts to no walks in eight innings of work as Carolina defeated Penn 1-0 on Saturday. Hall allowed just two runners to third base, ending those threats in the second and seventh innings with strikeouts. Hall allowed just three hits in an efficient 98 pitches across eight frames and picked up 1-2-3 innings in the third, fifth and eighth.
Freshman of the Week: Ike Irish, Auburn
Auburn’s Ike Irish led all SEC players with 11 hits in four games during the week, recording multiple hits in all four contests. Irish matched a then season high with three hits and drove in a run in the run-rule win vs. North Alabama Tuesday. He turned in two hits in the first two games vs. USC before recording a season best four hits in the finale, finishing the series 8-for-13 (.615) with three runs, a double, triple and two RBI.
