Co-SEC Players of the Week – Auburn forward/center Johni Broome, a 6-foot-10, 240-pound senior from Plant City, Fla., and Kentucky guard Lamont Butler, a 6-foot-2, 208-pound graduate student from Moreno Valley, Calif. were named Co-SEC Players of the Week. Broome led the Tigers with 21 points, 20 rebounds, six assists and three blocks in just 26 minutes of action in a win over Ohio State. Butler led the Wildcats with 33 points and six assists in a win over Louisville. He made all 10 field goal attempts – including 6-of-6 on 3-pointers. Since 1996-97, he’s the only Division I player to make all of his shots, score at least 33 points and get at least six assists.

SEC Freshman of the Week – Arkansas guard Boogie Fland, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound freshman from Bronx, N.Y., averaged 18.0 points, 8.0 assists, 3.5 steals and 3.0 rebounds in wins over No. 14 Michigan and Central Arkansas. Fifteen of his 20 points vs Michigan came as Arkansas turned a 15-point deficit to an 18-point lead.

-- Three of the five remaining undefeated teams reside within the SEC (Utah State and Drake).

· SEC teams have won 87.8 percent (144-20) of their games this season. Only the nine-team ACC has had a better non-conference winning percentage in games before New Year’s Day with 88.2 percent (75-10).

· SEC teams are 55-17 (76.4 percent) against teams from the ACC (28-4), Big 12 (14-2), Big East (5-4) and Big Ten 8-7).

· The SEC leads the nation with five teams (Auburn 1st, Tennessee 2nd, Florida 5th, Kentucky 7th and Alabama 10th) ranked in the Top 10 of the NCAA’s NET rankings.

· The SEC leads the nation with 13 teams ranked in the Top 50 of the NET.

· Ten SEC teams are currently Quad 1 opponents regardless of the game location (NET Top 30). Fifteen teams are either Quad 1 or Quad 2 opponents (NET Top 75).

· SEC teams have already amassed 23 wins in 39 games against Quad 1 competition. They have a 42-19 record against Quad 1 & 2 teams.

· The SEC is the only conference to have a winning record against Quad 1 teams (20-15).

· SEC teams are 17-7 against teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25, including a 6-2 mark against teams ranked in the Top 10.

· The SEC is the top-ranked conference by KenPom with a +19.90 rating. That is the second-highest rating over the last 20 seasons. Only the Big 12 in 2016-17 was higher with+19.91.

· Four SEC teams are ranked in the Top 10 of KenPom’s team rankings, 13 are in the Top 50 and all 16 teams rank in the Top 70.

· The SEC is 50-19 (72.5 percent) vs. Top 100 teams in Bart Torvik’s ratings system. No other conference is over .500 against the Top 100.

· SEC teams hold five of the top seven spots in the Associated Press Top 25 including the top two spots.

· The SEC leads the nation with eight teams ranked in the Associated Press Top 25: Tennessee 1st, Auburn 2nd, Kentucky 4th, Alabama 6th, Florida 7th, Texas A&M 12th, Oklahoma 14th and Ole Miss 17th. The first three teams outside the Top 25 were Mississippi State, Arkansas and Missouri. They were joined by Georgia and Texas as teams that received votes.

· The SEC dominated the second annual SEC/ACC Challenge, winning 14-2. The average margin of victory in the 14 SEC wins was 16.2 points while the margin in the two losses was 3.5 points.

· Five SEC teams won MTE titles this season: Auburn (Maui Invitational), Florida (ESPN Events Invitational), Oklahoma (Battle 4 Atlantis), Tennessee (Baha Mar Hoops Bahamas Championship), and Texas (Legends Classic).

· Auburn forward/center Johni Broome and Kentucky guard Lamont Butler were named Co-SEC Players of the Week while Arkansas guard Boogie Fland was SEC Freshman of the Week.

· Three SEC coaches rank among the winningest active coaches in the nation: John Calipari (1st/823 wins), Rick Barnes (2nd/816 wins) and Bruce Pearl (12th/671 wins).

· Nine of the 16 current SEC schools (56 percent of the conference) are coming off an NCAA Tournament berth

· Twenty-two percent of the players on NBA Opening Day rosters that went to college attended SEC schools. The SEC led all conferences with 103 players on NBA Opening Day rosters.
