We did so well in Freeze's first few years because a few exceptional players were able to mask our lack of depth or talent in other key spots. Nonetheless, people started judging us by a higher standard because Freeze raised the bar so high. Now that so many key players are out, we see that we haven't completely overhauled the roster just yet. There are talent deficiencies in spots and guys that aren't ready in others.
Why? Well, his transition class after his hiring was thrown together in little over a month and his first true class only has about six difference-makers, though they are fantastic. Two of those players have missed most or all of the season, however, and they happen to be in spots where we can ill-afford them.
The good news? Well, I believe these last two signing classes have more depth to them, despite whiffing on a couple of key players. Nonetheless, they are just freshmen and sophomores right now.
